Robotics and social action workshops

The workshops tipically take place in middle and high-school, and we offer all sorts of media for children to construct with. They do projects in robotics, computer (Logo) programming, moviemaking, digital photography, and arts. The main theme is "The City That We Want", so kids build solution for problems of they city, such as traffic, crime, transportation, and housing. They use sophisticated technologies such as robotics and moviemaking, and sometimes take their ideas to the public or to public officers. These workshops were parts of the "City That We Want Project" (link), which was implemented in over 100 schools in Brazil, in a joint collaboration between MIT and the University of São Paulo.
